Circle Brings USDC and EURC to Enterprise Workflows Through Tereina and SAP Ecosystem Integration

Circle has announced a major expansion of its stablecoin utility into mainstream enterprise payment workflows through a strategic partnership with Tereina, a financial services company backed by German enterprise software giant SAP. This new integration is designed to bridge the gap between traditional corporate software infrastructure and blockchain-based digital assets, enabling businesses to leverage the speed and efficiency of stablecoins directly within their existing operational systems.

Under the terms of the agreement, the integration will allow businesses utilizing SAP’s robust suite of financial software to seamlessly send and receive USDC and EURC without having to leave the applications they already rely on to manage their daily payments and financial operations. In this dual-currency arrangement, USDC will serve as the preferred stablecoin for dollar-denominated transactions, while EURC will be readily available to handle euro-denominated payments, catering to the diverse geographic and currency needs of multinational corporations and regional businesses alike.

Tereina specializes in providing sophisticated payment infrastructure that companies can easily embed directly into their enterprise business software. This capability allows organizations to execute financial transactions efficiently and securely without needing to switch to a separate, standalone financial platform or navigate complex external crypto-exchanges. According to the announcement, Tereina and Circle plan to roll out testing phases for this stablecoin integration with select customers over the coming months. These initial pilots will focus heavily on critical enterprise use cases, including global cross-border payments and streamlined treasury operations, where traditional banking rails often introduce delays and high intermediary fees.

The scope of this deployment is potentially massive, given the sheer market footprint of the software provider involved. The SAP ecosystem currently generates an estimated 84 percent of global commerce, according to the partnership announcement. By embedding USDC and EURC directly into a software environment that underpins the vast majority of international trade and enterprise resource planning, Circle and Tereina have positioned stablecoins for unprecedented mainstream corporate adoption. Instead of requiring companies to overhaul their existing accounting and payment procedures, the integration meets businesses inside the software environments they already use every single day, dramatically lowering the friction associated with adopting blockchain technology.

This development follows closely on the heels of another major infrastructure milestone for Circle. Less than a month prior to the Tereina partnership, Circle officially launched the mainnet of Arc, its proprietary layer-1 blockchain engineered specifically for stablecoin payments and broader financial markets. Arc utilizes USDC as its native asset for transaction fees and is built to support a wide array of more than 20 fiat-backed stablecoins, prominent among them being USDC and EURC. The launch of Arc, combined with the new SAP-backed enterprise workflow integration, highlights a concerted strategy by Circle to embed its digital currencies deeply into both decentralized infrastructure and traditional corporate backend systems.

As corporations increasingly seek out ways to optimize liquidity management, reduce settlement times for international invoices, and minimize foreign exchange friction, the ability to transact natively in digital dollars and euros within enterprise resource planning software represents a significant evolution in financial technology. Over the coming months, the results of the upcoming customer pilot programs are expected to provide clearer insights into how effectively these digital assets can scale within high-volume corporate environments, potentially setting a new standard for how global commerce is conducted across enterprise networks.
